Will Shadow Cursor remain hidden when I share my screen?

Yes, it'll remain hidden unless a company asks you to install certain tracking software.

How does Shadow Cursor identify the correct answers?

Shadow Cursor captures relevant on-screen content and sends it to an AI model for processing. The model generates a response, which the application presents in a suitable format. Depending on the question, this may include multiple-choice answers, coding solutions, or assistance with subjective questions such as case studies and guesstimates. Accuracy depends on the question, the available context, and the model used.

Does Shadow Cursor work during in-person exams or college proctoring?

What happens when my credits run out, and how can I check my remaining balance?

You can check your remaining credits by logging in to the Shadow Cursor website. We recommend checking your balance regularly, especially before starting a session that may require multiple questions. If your balance is running low, you can purchase additional credits to continue using the software.

How can I purchase additional credits when my balance runs low?

Adding credits is straightforward. Log in to your Shadow Cursor account and navigate to the Add Credits section. Choose an available credit package and follow the instructions to complete your purchase. Your available balance can then be checked through your account.

Does Shadow Cursor offer a free trial or free credits for new users?

Yes! New users can try Shadow Cursor with a limited number of free questions to explore its features and understand how the software works before purchasing additional credits. The available trial allowance may be subject to the terms displayed on our website.

What should I do if Shadow Cursor stops working or fails to provide an answer?

If you are not receiving a response after entering or updating your Access key, save the key and restart ShadowCursor:

1. Save your Access key. In the file where you entered the key, press Ctrl + S or choose File → Save. Make sure the change is saved before continuing.

2. Close ShadowCursor completely. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, which closes the app.

3. Reopen the app. Close Task Manager, run ShadowCursor again, and try sending your question once more.

If you still do not receive an answer, check your internet connection, Access key, and available credits. Contact our support team if the issue continues.

Does Shadow Cursor work with Secure Exam Browsers?

No, Shadow Cursor does not currently support Secure Exam Browsers. These applications are designed to restrict background processes and third-party software, which may prevent Shadow Cursor from functioning correctly.

If your organization or examination provider requires you to install a dedicated application to take a test, we recommend checking compatibility before using Shadow Cursor, as the exam application may restrict its operation.

Shadow Cursor is designed for supported web-based testing platforms that run directly in a browser. Compatibility may vary depending on the platform and its security settings.
