Stop and exit

Stop entry, close the app, or end a stuck process.

Stop typing first

Press Esc or Ctrl+Shift+F12 to stop code entry. This stops typing but leaves the app running.

Exit normally

Open the ShadowCursor main window and close it using the window’s close button. The current preview exits and releases its shortcuts when its main window is closed.

Close a stuck app

Task ManagerProcessesShadowCursorRunningEnd taskOther applicationsCtrl + Shift + Esc opens Task Manager.Opening Task Manager alone does not close the current build.
If the app is stuck, open Task Manager, select ShadowCursor, and choose End task.
  1. Open Task Manager

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc. This opens Windows Task Manager, not the taskbar.

  2. Select ShadowCursor

Find ShadowCursor in the process list. Check that you have selected the intended app.

  3. Choose End task

Use End task if the app is unresponsive. Only end the ShadowCursor process, not unrelated applications.
